What is the Fastest Computer Processor?

So you want to know what the fastest CPU on the market is. How about the fastest AMD processor? It seems that we are getting increasingly more inpatient with our web surfing. More and more people are looking for the fastest computer processors so that they can build their super computers. It seems that we want speed and we will not settle for less. I remember my first computer, it was a Mac classic and I had a 2400 baud modem. Does anyone remember those modems? The dial up modems is things of the past but many of us connected to AOL that way. When the 18K and the 56K modems came out we thought we were blazing. Now we have high-speed Internet with cable broadband and DSL and for some reason we still don’t find it fast enough. Not only do we have turbo boosters and other things to make our web surfing faster, but now that we’ve maxed out the fastest internet connection possible we need to find the fastest processor. If you’re like me I’ve always been a fan of AMD processors and therefore look for the fastest AMD processor out there. Others are Intel buffs and will try to find the fastest Intel processor.

Where do you stand? Which do you prefer? Right now, the i7 Intel processor is one of the fastest Intel processors around. It has turbo boost technology and automatically increases your speed when your computer needs the extra performance. It has a greater cache size then other processors and the higher frequencies give you superb performance for your most challenging tasks.

As far as the fastest AMD processor my vote goes to the AMD Phenom II family. This is an incredible processor that makes even the toughest and complex software applications run more smoothly and much faster. It has HyperTransport 3.0 technology that helps you to conserve PC power. For multitasking performance and HD video this is the best choice. The AMD speed and AMD performance are second to none with this processor and if you are looking for the fastest CPU on the market you can’t go wrong with this one!

Can a java applet cause CPU stress?

The question of the day is this: Can a java applet really cause CPU stress? To make a long story short, yes, it certainly can. Java has come a long way from its roots, where it was considerably bloated and memory intensive. Older computers may certainly have issues running an applet when dealing with an intensive java program. Java games can be a likely culprit when your computer is starting to lag; if you’re having problems definitely shut down the program, shut down the java interface (if you can), and see what that does. Use the “Start Task Manager” in Windows Vista (hit Ctrl+Alt+Del once to bring up the option) to compare the before and after CPU load when using java.

One of the best ways to mitigate this problem is to simply get more memory in your laptop. Laptop memory isn’t nearly as expensive as it used to be, and you can find some PC2700 or PC2100 memory without much of a problem these days. This DDR-type memory will do a lot to increase the performance of your computer in a hurry. Java will generally have very few issues running when you do a good solid upgrade in your RAM. While this doesn’t have a direct correlation to increasing your CPU speed, it does have the indirect effect of reducing the load on your processor. The more data that can be put into your memory instead of being loaded onto the CPU will create a better and faster operating environment.

If you’re still seeing a lot of CPU stress from your java applet, you might want to make sure the java environment itself has been updated to the most current version. Each time java releases a new version of the program it tends to get just a little bit faster; ensuring that you don’t simply ignore the “update now” icons that will pop up in your taskbar now and again will go a long way to reducing your CPU’s stress. Make sure that you don’t ignore this simple step; you’re going to have problems if you do.

If you’re still really having issues with CPU stress caused by java, you might want to consider a different operating system altogether. Either upgrade or downgrade your Windows OS if it’s really that big of an issue. If you’re using Windows Vista, then yes, you’ll probably have issues. Try dropping to Windows XP and see what it does.

If you’re looking for a CPU cooler, you’re in the right place. Being able to keep your CPU cool is of the utmost importance when you’re running processes that require a lot of processing power. How much does this thing cost? It’s actually not bad if you consider the amount of money you’ll spend if you ignore your CPU’s cooling needs. It runs about $20 USD (you thought it’d be expensive, didn’t you? ), and comes with a 3-year warranty. I don’t think you should be without this handy little CPU cooler, especially being that the price is right.
