Again, that’s due to the inherent markup included in the cost. Buying both of them individually will cost you right around $120, whereas in a bundle you’ll save about $20.

That cost savings only gets better if you buy more expensive processors; bundles including something like the a Core i7 processor (mostly seen on desktops, but good for this comparison) can run around $500, where the processor itself may cost $500 itself bought individually. You’ll save a lot by bundling, trust me.

So, which one offers the best value? That really depends on what you need it for. You can find motherboard bundles upwards of $1000 for your laptop to really make it vicious, but you’d really have to be playing some high-end games to really need that much power. If you’re usually out surfing the web, a low end AMD motherboard bundle is probably just fine (not to say that AMD is “low end,” but they do offer affordable products). Figure out what you need it for, then go shopping!
