Another word about free laptops

Hi again everybody, I just wanted to add a little bit of information about obtaining free laptops that I didn’t talk about before. In my previous post entitled “Free laptop: How to get one,” we talked about winning sweepstakes and raffles, as well as completing special offers. Of course not everyone is exactly interested in signing up for trial offers and whatnot (I know that I tend to shy away from that as well), so in this post we’ll talk about some other ways one can work at getting laptops for free.
Did you know that if you’re a student at a university or college, your notebook may be included as part of your classes? One could argue that this approach doesn’t exactly make the computer free (you are paying for tuition), but I would disagree: You’re in school in order to get a good education; if a notebook comes with that as part of the deal, bonus! In order to find universities that offer such a plan, you should consult your course catalog. You should bear in mind that this type of offer may only come about if you’re a computer science major or student of courses that would require it. Also, graduate programs are more likely to include free laptops for students than undergraduate programs. Law school and certain types of medical schools may include computers as part of tuition.
Another thing you can do in order to “save up” for a laptop is to do the “eBay shuffle.” That is, you could go on individual auction sites to buy laptops (particularly refurbished laptops) for cheap, then resell them. Sometimes some minor work will need to be done to the notebooks you buy, but as you do the reseller trick over and over, your profit margin will be able to turn into money that you can buy for a computer. Again, it’s not exactly free (you do have to work for it), but it’s an idea that would work in order to buy something when you wouldn’t normally be able to afford it.
Follow these simple steps and you may also be able to get free laptops in your hands!
