A micro laptop will set you apart

Buying a micro laptop is one of the best things you can do for yourself if you’re on the move constantly. Those who are always traveling for work, have to commute across town, or even have to take their laptops from the conference room to their office and back, would benefit from this little wonder. The micro laptop computer, also called a netbook, is an extremely popular addition to the computer portfolios of millions of people nationwide, both for business and personal purposes.
I recently did another post on this site called 7″ laptop reviews, wherein I reviewed a couple of the more popular micro laptops on the market. You might recall that I talked about two laptops: the Eee PC 701SDX, and the Samsung Q1U XP. Both are great little laptops as you might recall. So today I’m going to keep going where I left off: I’m going to review another laptop, and give you all my opinion on how you can best utilize it for your business and/or personal lives. Let’s begin.
You might recall that the Eee PC is one of the few “laptop-like” micro laptops out on the market today. The Sony VAIO VGN-UX17GP further proves that rule. The Sony is almost like a very large smart phone; it’s got a flip up screen that covers a very small keyboard, and when in use, actually looks like something you’d be carrying around to play games on (such as a Nintendo DS). But with this computer that’s not the case. The VGN-UX17GP micro laptop is fully functional. It’s a Windows XP laptop just like any other larger computer, and includes a 1.2 GHz Intel Centrino processor. This is definitely better than something you’d see with the little ASUS Eee product. It also comes with 512 MB of RAM on-board (i.e. attached to its motherboard), but does not include the ability to increase that memory like other systems. That’s fine with us; 512 MB is plenty when you’re not looking at good gaming laptops like the MacBook or higher-end Dells. You’ll have all the memory you’ll ever need if your goal is to simply carry files around for presentations at work, check your email, or do things like send pictures back and forth (very popular). Also, you won’t have to worry about your laptop battery…it’s built with a very robust battery straight from the factory. This little wonder also comes with a camera included, which makes it feel a lot more like a smart phone than a computer you’ll walk around with on a daily basis. To us, that’s a good thing.
Alright everyone, I hope that helped you decide on whether or not you need a micro laptop. Bis zum nächsten Mal!
