The Basics of A Lenovo T60

Lenovo is a well respected computer manufacturer that has a presence all over the world.  Perhaps they are best known for their ThinkPad line of notebooks.  The T-series models in this line are targeted towards people who use a laptop for work and business.  The Lenovo ThinkPad T60 is a popular model that has been well received by users.

The Lenovo T60 was the first ThinkPad that had the Intel Core Duo Processor, a highly anticipated feature.  The aims of the T60 include durability, security, and easy use, all important factors for a business oriented computer.  The computer is available with either a fourteen inch or fifteen inch screen.  The fifteen inch version includes some higher level configuration models, but is heavier and has a shorter battery life.  One who is going to be using the computer on the go, a fourteen inch model is probably more suitable.  The T60 has three USB ports for outside file storage and easy file movement.

This computer is more expensive than some of its competitors.  It is extremely durable, making it perfect for transporting on a commute or to various meetings and conferences.  This durability comes from the high quality components of the piece and the solid plastic body.  The hard drive and chassis have a “roll cage” that can offer about thirty percent more protection than earlier models.  The Active Protection System keeps one’s data from being lost even if the computer is dropped or broken.  The screen latches securely when folded, preventing it from coming open during transport and causing potential damage.

This computer looks very similar to previous Lenovo ThinkPads.  One subtle difference is a small variation in the color and design of the keyboard and mouse buttons.  Its solid black, uniform color looks professional and ready for the office.
