A refurbished white laptop, anyone?

If you’ve ever wanted a white laptop, particularly a white refurbished laptop, now is the time. With prices at an all-time low with the economy the way it is, you can’t afford to wait around any longer. White laptops (and don’t ask me why) are becoming all the rage with consumers because of their clean look and the amount of good taste they exude. Just ask any Mac owner: most Macs are white, and it’s done for a good reason. Those laptops set a solid trend for everyone else to follow.
Getting a white laptop, particularly used, isn’t a very difficult task at all. Just like any other type of refurbished system, these computers can be found in a variety of places: online at manufacturer’s sites, online auction sites (think eBay), craigslist, and even at “brick and mortar” stores such as Best Buy. I think we’ve covered all that ad nauseum beforehand.
But before you go out looking, you probably want to know which white laptops are worth your time, right? I’m here to help you out with that. I’ll start with the most popular: The Mac.
The MacBook is a quintessential cool white laptop. It’s got a very sleek unibody construction, has a full sized keyboard, and comes with any variety of screen sizes, processor speeds, and amounts of memory. The 13.3″ screen laptop boasts a very light 4.7 lb weight, and is a mere 1.08″ thick. The days of hauling around a phone book sized laptop are over. Also, this laptop has an LED backlight, so you know that the picture you’re getting is going to be bright and easy to see in all lighting conditions without being overly blinding. Also, you’ll be able to easily read the screen from any angle, which is a step up from many laptops.

Another white laptop you might be interested in is the Dell XPS M1330. This laptop boasts a 13.3″ screen (just like the base model MacBook), an Intel Core Duo processor clocked at 2.0 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, and a 160 GB hard drive. As far as laptops are concerned, this thing is very strong. It’ll run games very nicely and with high frame rates, without stuttering or other annoyances. Best yet, it comes in your favorite color: white! Even better is the price tag: It trounces the Apple offering with a price tag around $1,300. While that’s more expensive than something like an Eee PC (which do come in white, by the way), you’ll get Mac-like performance without the hit to your wallet. You just can’t go wrong.
Alright everyone, I hope this has helped you decide on which white laptop you’d like!
