]]>A good place to find reviews is on sites that sell computers, sites like Best Buy or Amazon. Even places like Target or Walmart will have them too. People will give a star rating and then write a few comments. Don’t just take a look at the average rating and decide if that’s the laptop for you, and here’s why.
An average rating might look okay, but what if half the people give it one star and half give it five stars? It would come out with an average rating of three, which looks good on a five point scale, but doesn’t show the whole story. You need to know where the ratings are centered, are they clustered around a high rating, or a low rating?
Find a review site that shows how many people rated the product at each level. That means you can look just at the five star reviews and see what people said, or look just at the 1 star laptop reviews. You can also see how many people gave each star rating, so if most gave it four and five stars then it’s probably a good product.
Sometimes it’s impossible to really tell about a product until you buy it and try it yourself. Still you can see what real consumers said about your laptop, both those that loved it and those that hated it. Take both of those pink laptop reviews into account, and you can make a better decision on your new laptop purchase.

]]>Cheap pink laptops can be found anywhere normal laptops are sold. They can be found easily online at manufacturer’s sites, third-party vendors (such as newegg or Tiger Direct), and auction sites such as eBay. Our old friend craigslist may be a great source as well, but as I always say: buyer beware on that one. You’ve been warned (again!) on that one! So, let’s talk about individual models. Laptops in pink thankfully aren’t too difficult to track down.
If you’re into the micro laptop phenomenon, you’ll be very happy to note that our friend the ASUS Eee PC comes in pink. As you might remember from our last post about the Eee PC, it’s a great little mini laptop that boasts a solid amount of performance in a small package. It’s a great little tool if you’re on the road a lot or need to be able to go from place to place quickly without having to pack up and lug around a larger computer. Luckily for you and your friends, it comes in a very nice shade of pink. See the picture to the left for an idea of what this computer looks like.
Hot pink laptops from major manufacturers such as Dell are available as well. The Dell D600 Latitude is available in this color, and is a great step up from the ASUS offering if you need a laptop for something more than something to do basic word processing on. The Dell offering comes with optional 1.3 GHz, 1.4 GHz, or 1.6 GHz processors, which are made along with the 855PM chipset (geek stuff, sorry). This laptop comes with anywhere between 128 MB and 2 GB of RAM, allowing you to customize it to whatever you actually need it for. Additionally, a replacement laptop battery is always easy to find for it.
